Meet your candidates for the Board
Candidates for the CWC P.G. Co.’s Board of Directors can provide a 250-word statement ahead of the 2025 AGM.
Learn more about the physicians standing for election to the Board by reading their statements. Candidate statements are added in the order they are received.
There are three upcoming openings on the Board for three-year terms and one opening for a two-year term.
Candidates for the three-year terms:
Dr. Amanda Wang | Locum
I am writing to formally declare my intent to seek a second three-year term as a director on the Calgary West Central Primary Care Network’s (CWC PCN) Board.
Over the past three years, including the last year as vice-chair, I have actively contributed to the evolution and growth of our organization. I led the development of a learning retreat, which culminated in the creation of a KPI reporting framework — an innovative tool that now helps guide strategic progress and identify opportunities for improvement. I also initiated the implementation of a 360-degree evaluation for our Medical Director, fostering a more comprehensive and constructive assessment process.
The family medicine landscape in Alberta continues to evolve, presenting ongoing challenges and opportunities. It has been a privilege to serve, and I would be honored to continue contributing my experience, insight, and leadership to support our physicians and enhance patient care.
Thank you for your consideration.
Dr. Sameena Khan | Student Wellness Services (University of Calgary)
I have been worked in many different environments as a family physician in Calgary, including community practice, student health, and hospitalist work at RGH.
I thought it would be interesting to diversify my work portfolio while learning more about the PCN — which is such an integral part of Primary Care in Alberta.
Dr. Michael Yosefi | Oak Bay Medical Centre
I am seeking election to the CWC PCN’s Board of Directors to re-engage in leadership and support initiatives that strengthen both physician practices and patient care.
My experience includes helping implement the PCN Dietitian Program and leading quality improvement projects to boost screening rates and streamline clinic efficiency. I bring prior leadership experience, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to practical, member-focused solutions. I am eager to contribute positively to the Board, learn from colleagues, and ensure PCN programs continue to meet the evolving needs of our community.
