CME & PD

Our PCN is here to help strengthen your practice so you can focus more on patient care.

Our CME & PD program supports physicians with free educational opportunities in four priority areas — practice support, community services, transitions, and integration, Patient’s Medical Home, and primary care partnerships — so they can run effective and compliant practices.

We’ve listened to our members on the best way to enhance and support their practices with CME & PD offerings (go down to the archive). We will continue to listen and collaborate with our members now and into the future.

Organized by our PCN independently and in conjunction with the Calgary Zone, community partners, and our members, both Mainpro+ certified and non-certified event opportunities are available.

Please contact your Physician Liaison if you have a CME & PD topic suggestion in one of the priority areas.

No-show policy

The CWC PCN’s no-show policy applies to CME & PD events that are certified for Mainpro+ credits or have limited capacity.

Under the no-show policy, members who register and do not attend, or cancel their registration after the event’s withdrawal deadline, will:

  • First occurrence: Receive a letter outlining the policy, the missed program, and the consequences of a second no-show within six months*
  • Second occurrence: Receive notice that they are ineligible for events that meet the policy’s criteria for one year

*This sequence resets to zero occurrences if a member does not no-show a second event within six months or due to special circumstances.

We understand that circumstances can change quickly leading up to an event, and members may appeal a no-show occurrence.
