Contact usCongratulations to three of our members, Dr. Scott Beach, Dr. Antonia Morris, and Dr. Amanda Wang, who were among the recipients of awards from the Alberta College of Family Physicians (ACFP) and the AMA for 2025:
- Dr. Beach with the AMA Long Service Award
- Dr. Morris with the ACFP’s Recognition of Excellence
- Dr. Wang with the ACFP’s Outstanding New Professional Award
The AMA Long Service Award recognizes physicians with 10 years of AMA service who contribute their knowledge, skill, and time to the advancement of the profession.
The Recognition of Excellence award recognizes ACFP members who, in the past 12 – 24 months, made outstanding contributions in patient care, community service, hospital or healthcare institutions, college activities, teaching, research, or other elements of the academic discipline of family medicine.
The Outstanding New Professional Award recognizes a family physician in their first five years of practice who has not only successfully established their career, but has demonstrated balance through commitment to family, patients, colleagues, and community.
