On Friday, April 17 at 9 a.m., join a three-hour virtual conference to bring primary care providers, transplant providers, and living kidney donors. (Read the event flyer.)
Across Canada, there is a need for clear, consistent guidance to ensure living kidney donors receive high-quality post-donation care that supports their long-term well-being.
To address this gap, a national consensus conference will be held to develop primary care–focused recommendations for the post-donation management of living kidney donors, informed by multidisciplinary expertise and lived donor experience.
This initiative is being led by Dr. Shaifali Sandal of the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre, and is supported by Canadian Blood Services.
A significant amount of foundational work has already been completed to prepare draft recommendations for your review.
No pre‑conference preparation is required — participants simply need to attend, engage in discussion, and vote.
