Indigenous learning tools

Two new learning tools are now available on Specialist Link’s Indigenous resource hub.

• Indigenous Cultural Safety in Practice is a 50-minute video recording led by Calgary Zone Indigenous liaisons Beth Finn and Veronica Big Plume that explores what cultural safety means, why it matters, and how it shows up in our everyday interactions with patients.
• Navigating Non-Insured Health Benefits for Indigenous patients is a recording of a short, practical webinar that explains common challenges patients face when accessing coverage; part of the Calgary Zone’s Indigenous learning series, it offers tips on how healthcare staff can better support navigation and reduce barriers to care.
