We are pleased to introduce Dr. Kaylan Raman, a community-based gastroenterologist who will be joining Calgary Weight Management Centre (CWMC®) in September 2026, providing community gastroenterology consultation services with timely access for a broad range of gastrointestinal concerns.
Dr. Raman will be accepting referrals for patients presenting with common symptoms including:
- Reflux
- Bloating
- Swallowing difficulties (dysphagia)
- Abdominal pain
- Dyspepsia
- Diarrhea
- Constipation
- Rectal bleeding
- Malabsorption, maldigestion syndromes and malnutrition
Consultation is also available for the assessment and management of conditions, including:
- Peptic ulcer disease
- H. pylori infection
- Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
- Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
- Diverticulitis
- Chronic pancreatitis
- Celiac disease
- Fatty liver disease/MASLD
- Liver and pancreatic pathologies
- Gut dysbiosis
Dr. Raman will be practicing within our clinic space, helping to support collaborative, multidisciplinary care for patients with overlapping gastrointestinal and metabolic health concerns. We are excited to expand the services available through CWMC® and to further strengthen integrated care pathways for both patients and referring providers.
We are pleased to share that referrals are being accepted effective immediately for consultations beginning in September 2026 for patients with non-urgent gastrointestinal concerns.
To refer, please fax a consultation request to CWMC®, Attn: Dr Raman, and include patient demographics, reason for referral, and relevant clinical information. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
