Community partner spotlight: Accessible housing renovations

Accessible Housing’s Residential Accessible Design (RAD) Renovations Program is dedicated to creating safer, more accessible spaces for individuals with limited mobility.

RAD Renovations Program’s services include:

• Space assessment and accessibility recommendations reports
• Funding application assistance
• Design drawings
• Renovation coordination

Eligibility is open to Calgarians with limited mobility in need of home accessibility modifications either due to:

• Age
• A permanent physical disability requiring the use of a mobility aid either currently or within the next 12 months due to a deterioration (or expected deterioration) of a present medical condition

Access:

• Individuals can apply to the RAD Renovations Program through their application form
• Applications are processed within three – six months
