Finding Balance is an initiative to educate and empower older Albertans aged 55-plus to prevent falls and stay independent.
Developed by the Injury Prevention Centre at the University of Alberta, Finding Balance offers free evidence-based fall prevention and risk management resources for both older adults and health professionals.
Resources for older adults include:
- A risk self-assessment
- Fall prevention
- Activity tips and programs
- Visions tips
Resources for caregivers include a fall prevention guide, a physical activity toolkit, and government programs.
For health professionals, Finding Balance hosts live webinars and has an archive of presentations and recordings.
