Registration is open for a six-session virtual series that will connect you to a team of autism specialists based at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital in Edmonton.
Sessions start at noon on the first and third Thursday of the month, beginning Sept. 17.
Each one-hour session includes a didactic learning session, case presentation from a registered participant, question period, and recommendation period, followed by an optional 15-minute Q&A with the didactic presenter.
Didactic presentation topics will include:
- ASD primary care pathway
- Navigating FSCD
- Parent perspectives
- And more
By participating, you will be able to:
- Integrate evidence-based autism care into your practice
- Discuss autism related concerns with autistic individuals and their families/caregivers
- Identify and refer patients to appropriate autism-related assessment and/or intervention services
- Identify and share appropriate autism-related resources and strategies with autistic individuals and their families/caregivers
- Adopt a strength-based, neuro-affirming framework in your practice
