Expanded infant RSV prevention

Beginning Sunday, Nov. 1, nirsevimab will be available to all infants born in hospital during the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) season.

Nirsevimab is a safe and effective monoclonal antibody that is designed to provide immediate protection against serious lower respiratory tract disease caused by RSV infection in infants.

Primary care providers are encouraged to discuss nirsevimab with expectant parents to help support informed consent.
