National Depression Screening Day: A resource for patient conversations

Calgary Counselling Centre’s National Depression Screening Day campaign runs from Monday, Oct. 5 to Sunday, Oct. 11, offering a free, anonymous online questionnaire at areyoufeelingok.com.

The campaign offers an opportunity to engage patients who have concerns regarding their mental health but may be hesitant to initiate a discussion, so we are helping raise awareness of it once again as a partner.

The screening test:

• Does not provide a diagnosis but indicates whether depressive symptoms are present or absent
• Offers a referral for additional assessment if necessary
