Applications are being accepted for the role of Chief Medical Officer for Primary Care Alberta (PCA), following the resignation of former Calgary Zone PCN Physician Lead Dr. Ernst Greyvenstein.

Dr. Greyvenstein will depart the role effective Friday, May 15; a south Calgary physician, he was the first doctor to hold the PCA role.

The CMO is a key PCA leadership role responsible for overseeing the integration and coordination of a complex health delivery model and is accountable and responsible for all medical staff-related matters and decisions, practitioner recruitment, retention, development, and wellness provincially.

PCA Senior Medical Advisor Dr. Linda Slocombe, another local physician who previously served as a PCN medical director at Calgary Foothills PCN, is set to retire at the end of March.
