Unplanned fax interruption to women’s health clinics

From 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 3, an unexpected interruption of incoming faxes to the women’s health clinics at Foothills Medical Centre affected five clinics:

• Colposcopy Clinic
• Early Pregnancy Assessment
• High Risk Obstetrics & Gynecology Clinics
• Pelvic Floor Clinic
• Pregnancy & Infant Loss – Grief Support

They are requesting all referring clinics/providers to please refax referrals sent during the interruption to the applicable women’s health clinic.

You should receive a confirmation message that the fax was successfully transmitted after refaxing the referral.

This temporary interruption did not include the Breast Health Outpatient Clinic at the Arthur J.E. Child Cancer Centre.
