World Family Doctor Day in Alberta

For the first time, we celebrate today (May 19) as World Family Doctor Day in Alberta.

Widely recognized as World Family Doctor Day since 2010-11, the Government of Alberta recently declared May 19 as World Family Doctor Day in Alberta, highlighting the “excellent opportunity to celebrate and acknowledge family physicians for the comprehensive care they provide patients, families, and communities in Alberta.”

Today and every day, we are thankful for your dedication, compassion, and contributions as family physicians and offer our programs and services to support you.

Throughout May, Calgary-area PCNs have collaborated on social media posts to raise awareness and celebrate the work of family physicians.
