Presenter bios:

Dr. Roopinder Sandhu: 

Dr. Sandhu is a distinguished cardiologist (electrophysiology) and clinician-scientist dedicated to advancing cardiovascular care for women. She is the Martha Brauer Chair in Women’s Cardiovascular Health Research and serves as the Director of the Women’s Cardiovascular Health Initiative and Medical Director of the Women’s Cardiovascular Health Clinic. Dr. Sandhu’s research program focuses on epidemiology and health services research within the field of cardiac electrophysiology, with a particular focus on atrial fibrillation (AF), syncope, and sudden cardiac death (SCD).

Dr. Sandeep Aggarwal: 

Dr. Sandeep Aggarwal is a Clinical Professor at the University of Calgary and Medical Director of TotalCardiology Rehabilitation. He has led numerous initiatives aimed at improving secondary prevention in Calgary and has published extensively on these efforts. His work spans clinical care, research, and education in secondary prevention, and he is passionate about integrating new evidence and guidelines into everyday clinical practice.
